The protective flaps have been folded over to prevent glare in the photo. When closed, the case is 9 1/4" x 4 3/4". When open, it is 16 1/2" wide.
  
  All the brushes fold up nicely in to the case! It is not bulky at all making it great for easy storage and traveling!
